A Guide for Business Plan Development

How to Prepare a Business Plan, a United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) guide, targeted start-ups and advanced private enterprises in countries in transition. Its is part of the Programme for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Countries in Transition (CITs) within the Framework of the ECE Regional Advisory Services Programme. It was elaborated at the request of transition economies to assist them in developing entrepreneurship and to contribute to their economic reform process.

Training & Expertise

Training and expertise on energy auditing and development of business plans for energy and environmental projects are provided by Energy Saving International AS (ENSI). The practical training programs address the entire project development process, enabling the participants to develop specific projects on their own.

The Kyiv Institutional Buildings Energy Efficiency (KIBA) Project, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, supports the development of a program which improves EE for heat and water provided by district heating in institutional buildings. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has an integrated package with a set of Draft Procedures for the installation of energy efficiency measures.
