The following Best Practices, sponsored by the USAID EcoLinks program, are provided to assist organizations in Central and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States improve their environmental management and solve similar urban and industrial environmental problems in their countries. These Best Practices are the results of EcoLinks Challenge Grants and represent solutions that have been successfully tested under local conditions. Some aspects of these market-based projects can be replicated in other situations, thereby saving time and money in designing solutions to environmental problems. EcoLinks expects to add at least another 20 Best Practices to this list, so continue checking this website in the future!
